Postcrossing - Blue and White
It is as if every person in Finland is an active registered user of postcrossing. Of the last six postcards I received, five were from Finland.

I remember a 60 Minutes segment about 8 years ago that reported the Finns were per capita the biggest users of cell phones by far. This is when cell phones were still a novelty in the U.S.

Is the urge for remote communications cultural? Genetic? ;)

I have come to the exact same conclusion about the good people of Finland. The same thing is happening with me--it seems practically every address I get to send a card to is in Finland, and tons of the cards I get are from Finland. It's ok, of course--I'm happy to send and get cards to anywhere. But yeah, I've wondered about why the extreme number of Finns apparently involved in this project too. And I wonder if sometimes they are all, "oh, another card from the US???" :-)
