The Toy Boat Cafe
On Saturday we went to the Red Vic in San Francisco to see David Lynch's Inland Empire. I loved it, Jim hated it. On our way out of town we stop by one of our favorite neighborhoods looking for coffee and to browse the Green Apple Books.

We found out that the coffee house just up the street had been turned into a hangout for old chinese men to gossip and play some kind of bingo/keno game. A half a block later Jim said "Let's try this place." After I had sat down, I looked at the pez and other toys on the wall and I realized that I had seen this place before in judywatt's journal almost two years ago.

So here it is, judywatt's Toy Boat Cafe.

This is my exact view of the cafe. I must have been sitting at the same table.

One of the really nice things about Clement Street is there are no chain stores or fast food at all. That is very rare for such a busy neighborhood.
