Dad's Ashes
I have wanted to post earlier - waiting for the right time. Since it is never the right time, here goes.

Last Sunday my family finally spread dad's ashes under the redwood tree. This had been his request. I guess he had been talking about his wishes for a couple of years before he died. Things like music and scripture at his mass, where he wanted his ashes to go.

He was 74 when he had a heart-attack a year and a half ago. Both his parents lived into their 90's. I had thought I had at least another ten years with him.

He was an honorable man. He always met his obligations. He was always a seeker. Though he converted to catholicism when he married my step-mother, he studied many eastern religions and western philosophies.

He was loving and also reserved.

I miss him very much.

I was in a weird, bitchy, melancholy mood for most of the week. At some point I realized it was probable because of Sunday's activities.

I'm sorry to hear about you loss.

I can't think of a better place than under a redwood tree.

Take Care
Thank you for your kind thoughts.

I am sorry for your loss. Be kind to yourself. Lossing someone so close can make dealing with life harder.

Your Dad was every thing you could say about a person that was good. I only knew him as a young married adult. Most special person ever. Please feel blessed you had Him for the time you did. Please write more about him,it will help you. MO. Grandma
